WRAP, Wellness Recovery Action Plan, is an evidence based program that invites us into understanding how we personally cope, identifying personal goals in our lives, developing personal action plans and coping skills/strategies that are individually applicable to us. Through eight 1-hour scheduled sessions we will be guided by a local WRAP certified facilitator to complete the 10 chapter workbook.

The tools and action plans you develop during the sessions will focus on the WRAP key concepts of hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy, and support. Some of the sections in the workbook include Wellness Toolbox, Daily Maintenance Plan, Stressors/Triggers, Early Warning Signs, When Things Are Breaking Down or Feeling Much Worse, Crisis Plan, and Post-Crisis Plan.
WRAP is often used to help people avoid or manage a crisis. Although it was specifically developed for use by those with psychiatric symptoms, a WRAP can be used to deal with any situation or challenge in our lives, from medical issues, to depression, to substance use, to major life changes and more. The WRAP wellness process is designed to decrease and prevent unwanted or troubling feelings & behaviors, encourage self-advocacy, work towards improving our quality of life, and help us achieve our goals and dreams.
This no cost workshop is suitibale for anyone in the Northern Nevada community, it’s is a process for individuals who wants to make positive changes in the way that they feel and the way that they react to life.
